“Carly’s up, Trump is down,” is the headline on a new Rasmussen Reports poll of likely Republican primary voters. “The post-debate picture has a new contender in the top 10 of Republican presidential contenders, while the leader of the pack has taken a fall,” says the poll, released Wednesday. It reveals finds that Carly Fiorina -… Read the rest of this entry »
TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie, who has staked his entire 2016 presidential campaign on winning New Hampshire, fell into 11th place there in the first poll since he sparred with U.S. Sen. Rand Paul in the raucous debate last week. The Franklin Pierce University-Boston Herald poll shows no sign of a bounce for Christie after his… Read the rest of this entry »

Donald Trump has a 2-1 lead over his next closest competitor, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie seems assured of a spot in the “Top Ten” prime time debate sponsored by FoxNews and facebook on Thursday evening, according to a Monmouth University Poll released this morning.
Pollster Patrick Murray also found that 74% of Republican primary voters do not like the “Top Ten” debate format designed by FoxNews. 45% would prefer to see two back to back debates with the candidates selected randomly and 29% would prefer to see all candidates in one debate. Only 23% approve of the FoxNews formula.
Trump leads the 17 candidate field with 26% of the voters surveyed favoring him to be the 2016 GOP nominee. Bush is at 12.2% followed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 11.1%. Christie is tied for seventh place with Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Florida Senator Marco Rubio at 4.4.% Ohio Governor John Kasich comfortably holds to 10th spot in the Monmouth Poll with 3.2%.
OCEANPORT — It was one long happy celebration at Monmouth Park for the great American Pharoah’s latest victory. At least, that is, until Gov. Chris Christie stepped into the Winner’s Circle to present the trophy. And then, the record crowd of 60,983 booed. Long. Loud. Sustained. Maybe he should have hung around Bill Murray. The cheering… Read the rest of this entry »

Donald Trump is Howard Beale with groomed hair, clean clothes and his own Boeing 757.
By Art Gallagher
Donald Trump has the media and political elite on both sides of the aisle in a tissy because he is leading the GOP field for the 2016 presidential nomination after committing two “unforgivable” sins against the politically correct commandments—his disparaging remarks about Mexican illegal immigrants and about Senator John McCain’s heroism.
Trump has already made a contribution to our PC culture as it is now safe to say “illegal immigrant” instead of “undocumented worker,” at least for the time being.
Trump is succeeding in large measure because he has given voice to those who are fed up with the elite PC thought and speech police. He is expressing the frustration of many who are fed up with mealy mouth “leaders” who use a lot of words not to say anything and put the American people to sleep while fleecing them. Many who don’t agree with “The Donald” are enjoying the show and are particularly enjoying watching the elites squirm as they try to discredit him…and Republicans in general..in order to retain their cultural and economic power.
Trump’s popularity is surging because he is shouting that the emperors have no clothes and doing so in the manner of the fictional Howard Beale.

It started with a man in the audience asking Gov. Chris Christie how he’ll prove to gun owners he isn’t “anti-gun.” Soon, Christie was angrily defending his record on guns Saturday morning during a town hall meeting in Iowa as part of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. “If you want to debate me, come… Read the rest of this entry »
Bush raised “a lot more” than the $500,000 his campaign told the media was raised in Middletown and at a private dinner in Short Hills following the event. A source familiar with the candidate’s New Jersey operation told MMM that the take in Middletown was $600,000 in “hard money” donated directly to his campaign plus “big money” to the Bush SuperPAC.
In a show of support to State Senator Joe Kyrillos, the first prominent New Jersey Republican to publicly break from Governor Chris Christie’s presidential quest and a Co-Chair of the Bush fundraising effort, Monmouth County’s Republican leadership, which helped Governor Chris Christie get elected twice and some of whom have publicly endorsed Christie for president were well represented, if camera shy, at the Middletown event, according to PolitickerNJ.
