WILL DUPLICITOUS POLITICIANS HELP TURN NEW JERSEY TURN RED?

The Trump administration is suing the state to block its rules that limit law enforcement cooperation with ICE and allow criminal aliens to escape into our communities. According to Attorney General William Barr, these policies are textbook examples of misguided ideology triumphing over common sense law enforcement and are created by “idealistic”public officials who have offered “misleading rhetoric” to justify them. I believe the attorney general is being kind when he views these actions as those of “idealistic public officials”.  I believe they are more the work of disingenuous politicians that will do everything to fool citizens into thinking they are working in their best interest, when they are really counting a vote here, and a vote there, as they march toward their next election victory. The Murphy administration’s policies put the interests of illegal aliens above all legal residents. Granting illegal aliens taxpayer funded legal aid and granting them college tuition assistance are two of the most egregious, and a slap in the face to beleaguered New Jersey taxpayers.

David Richter should run for congress in CD-12

David Richter

David Richter, the former CEO of Hill International, a global construction management firm, has had a tough start to 2020. Richter, of Princeton, was the front runner for the GOP nomination for Congress in the second district of New Jersey and was poised to end the political career of Congressman Jeff Van Drew.

The impeachment of President Donald J. Trump upended Richter’s self-funded path to Congress.  In a deal brokered by former Governor Chris Christie, according to the NY Times, Van Drew became a Republican and pledged his undying support to the President. Trump, seeing a opportunity much larger than picking up one congressional seat in New Jersey, provided Van Drew with a first class political operation and cleared the path for the freshman congressman to win the GOP nomination for reelection.

Former Governor Jim McGreevey once held the heavyweight championship belt for passing the silliest New Jersey law in history.

McGreevey once signed a law so silly you’ll laugh while reading it:  His law said no gun can be sold in New Jersey unless the gun itself can recognize its owner and refuse to fire unless the owner is holding it. The law also said it wouldn’t take effect until someone invented a jealous gun possessing a sentient, conscious personality that could do that.

Pallone Should Fight to Reauthorize Brand USA So They Can Continue to Help Lure International Visitors to Atlantic City and Other New Jersey Cities

The fall means one thing for sports fans in the Garden State: football is back! And with football comes tourism, both as fans travel to, from or through New Jersey. But it’s not just Giants, Jets and Scarlet Knights fans that are traveling on Game Day. New Jersey also sees an influx of tourism and revenue in Atlantic City related to sports betting.

The state Division of Gaming Enforcement released a report that revealed a total gaming revenue increase 13% in August 2019 compared to the same month last year with the total gaming revenue at $338.8 million. This August marked the 15th consecutive month of gaming revenue increases for casinos in Atlantic City.

In response, the President of the Casino Association of New Jersey Steve Callender said, “The summer of 2019 was the one of the best summers in recent years for Atlantic City. Casinos saw strong employment, visitation and gaming revenue. Two great back-to-back summer seasons continue to demonstrate that the casino industry’s ongoing investment in Atlantic City’s transformation into a first-class resort and business conference destination has staying power.”

Monmouth Democrat Chairman Brown Shouldn’t Survive This Cop Hating Hypocrisy

The job of a county party chair is to ensure that candidates have no unforced errors, usually handled in the vetting process.  Democrat Chairman David Brown’s candidates this year have self-inflicted wounds.  He has dumped support for several of his own candidates, a sign of his own failure.  The Monmouth Democrat Party needs to strip him of his chairmanship for this collapse.

By the way – the correct pronunciation for “The Monmouth Democrat Party” is “Vin Gopal.” That’s who needs to dump Brown.

Let’s look at how David Brown treated two women very differently for their words about cops.

Jeana Sager is a Democrat candidate for the Township Council in Middletown.  I’m not here to articulate her true feelings about cops because I don’t know them. I don’t know them because David Brown sewed her mouth shut like a character on “A Handmaid’s Tale” before she could explain.

Satan’s Motorized Scooters in Asbury Park

This column will mention Asbury Park Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn as well as her friends.  Nothing is their fault.  There’s just no way to tell the story without them.

This past August, Asbury Park started allowing motorized scooters here.  Deputy Mayor Quinn led the effort.

Quinn, the darling of local Democrats, selected a company called Spin for the scooters. Spin appears to be an eco-friendly San Francisco start-up that fits well with Asbury’s woke progressives who hate oil companies and long for Congresswoman AOC’s Green New Delusion. The reality?  Spin is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.  Big Industry.  Big oil.  The transportation equivalent of a Red Lobster on the Boardwalk.

Amy Quinn really, really wants her pet project to do well.  Apparently, so does the Asbury Park Press.

Education of a useful productive adult human?  Politicians touting free college are trying to  make the case that now it should take 16 years of education to make a human productive, engaged, happy and, with a nod towards Maslow, capable of self-actualization.

“You say you want a revolution?”, try this on for size. Instead of creating an new economy for the realities of the 21st century, why don’t we create a new education system to feed the economy that has shown itself to be capable of taking every sort of labor input and creating jobs, products and services?

Neptune City for Sale

The rules, policies, and procedures of good-governance have almost all been thrown to the wayside in Neptune City under the current majority. An alarming trend which started January 1st as policies have been created without cooperation, special committees formed without proper resolutions, the intentionally keeping of information from other elected officials, and threatening of borough employees. 

This is just a fraction of what has been occurring these past months in Neptune City and calls to rectify the issues have fallen on deaf ears, no matter how hard I have tried. Yet, what transpired at the September 9th Workshop and Council meetings was the final straw and residents have a right to not only know, but be concerned.

What President Trump understands that Democrats don’t

As a practitioner of public opinion polling, I’ve studied, poked and analyzed opinions for more than 25 years. I’ve learned and grown to appreciate how fickle and malleable opinions can be. I’ve also come to understand through opinion research, why President Trump is playing a winning hand going into 2020 and why he is better positioned for victory than you might think.

Mr. Trump isn’t playing the opinion game. He is playing on a different field. He is playing on beliefs and values. And his opponents are all too happy to assist him.

Opinions can change, and they often do. Beliefs don’t change. We can change our opinion about a candidate, or a restaurant, or a TV series. But we don’t change our fundamental values. We don’t change our beliefs. Opinions are ephemeral. Beliefs are unwavering.
