Popular New Jersey-based sub shop Jersey Mike’s found itself going viral on Twitter this week. And it didn’t even write the tweet that was trending.
Comedian Yassir Lester tweeted what appeared to be a statement from Jersey Mike’s on June 30 that claimed the company would be changing the name of its bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich to a bacon, lettuce and ‘mato sandwich — a BLM, an apparent tribute to Black Lives Matter.

The Milano family’s restaurant in Red Bank has a great view across the Navesink River of the Murphy family’s estate on the other bank.
There’s a big difference, however. Gov. Phil Murphy can do as he likes in his buildings. But he has issued edicts that keep the Milanos from using theirs.
That was all scheduled to end today. Gov. Murphy had said he was going to permit restaurants to open at 25 percent of indoor capacity in time for the July 4 weekend. But on Monday the governor rescinded that decree.

The first sign of trouble at Donovan’s Reef Beach Bar in Sea Bright came before even entering the longtime Jersey Shore beachfront hangout rebuilt after being destroyed in Hurricane Sandy.
A bouncer advised the line waiting anxiously for some Saturday night fun that the wait could be a while due to a fight being broken up. A bar fight didn’t bode well for the required social distancing ordered for outdoor restaurants in the age of coronavirus.

Washington (AFP) – The United States on Thursday warned that instability sparked by the global coronavirus pandemic has opened the door to increased human trafficking.
Washington also added Afghanistan, Algeria, Lesotho and Nicaragua to its blacklist on human trafficking in its annual report on the illegal practice.
