As the Supreme Court prepares to declare individual spending mandates unconstitutional, the Republicans prepare to endorse the leading proponent of individual spending mandates.

    Good grief.

  2. scary, isn't it?.. said at 6:07 pm on April 4th, 2012:

.. that we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with these candidates!.. hope they are focusing on making the commercials saying, plainly: “are you better off than you were 4 years ago??”, and: ” do you really want your grandkids to be paying for his $5 trillion more in new debt?”..the other side can’t wait to blast him as a Mormon, a rich guy who had the nerve to actually be successful, and a co-supporter of the individual mandate.. hope the court does strike it down, but I wouldn’t put anything past these people to threaten the judges, or audit them, or whatever, they only need to “persuade” one more, we are that close to disaster: one Supreme Court vote!.. it’s sickening, and I pray we wake up and show these creeps the door, on Nov. 6, or we’re done, period!…

may be two things: that enough people are sick of being jobless and still want to work, and that we are so sick of the insane gas prices: he can blame-Bush all he wants, (nothing is ever his fault), but, the facts are facts, and gas is more than double that of 4 years ago, and Romney’d better keep pointing it out: the lies and promises to the drones are already chiming from the left, on a daily basis!.. they are just plain evil, and need to be thrown out!

–Gas prices are aprox the same now as they were in the Summer of 2008 before the Bush recession/depression helped to bring them down. Interesting what Fox News commentators where saying about gas prices in 2008.

–Romney outspent his comeptition by 10-1 (closer to 20-1) in Wisconsin if you include his PACS. In spite of that, 56% of R Wisconsin voters wanted a different candidate.

–Under the President there have been 28 straight months of job growth. Contrast that to the end of 2008/the begining of 2009 when the economy was losing 700kk jobs every month. Even the R candidates have finally admitted that the economy has been improving under the President.

    Correction:

Average price of a gallon of gas in NJ in July of 2008 was $3.96. Right now its $3.64.

it was half.. go ahead and shill for this failure-Admin.. we need to go get OUR energy, wherever it exists, and now..

  7. Too bad said at 11:54 am on April 5th, 2012:

Mitt has had to spend some $30. bucks a vote, to get less than half the primary/caucus voters so far this year.. think of all the time and money wasted on defeating his Rep. opponents.. I maintain that if he was so good, he wouldn’t have had to tear down everyone else as the guy with the most money, he’d have been out there instead hawking his attributes, and with a positive message on how to defeat the “liar-in-chief”, instead.. what a way to run a campaign..

  8. Bob English said at 12:50 pm on April 5th, 2012:

your right it was half….thanks to the Bush Great Recession/Depression. Great job!!! Mission Accomplished1!!

  9. Bob English said at 12:58 pm on April 5th, 2012:

To Bad: I think the real damage to Mitt from the long primary process is that he ended up having to take a bunch of extreme right wing positions in order to secure the nomination that he is now going to be stuck with having to defend in the general election. If he had been able to win the nomination early on he would have maintained much more appeal to moderate voters and women.

did such a Nobama apologist get in here, and why, other than to help rally thinking people to not give up on saving the country?..look, gas at the end of Bush Jr. was half what is is NOW, was the statement- good Lord, why can’t you people get OVER Bush, and focus on the current $5 trillion more in debt, that did ZERO to put anyone back to work, the healthcare nightmare that nationalizes more than 1/6 of the total economy, our debilitated military he keeps cutting, the failure to ok the right kind of drilling and exploration here, and on and on!.. we are NOT better off, we are NOT safer, we are certainly NOT more prosperous under THIS idiot, and this trite and hackneyed 3-yr.-old blame-game needs to be over and put in its place: OUT of office!!..

Bob’s (and anyone elses) “opposing points of view” are welcome here.

Feel free to debate the issues and points of view.

Personal attacks, including their right to be here, for having the point of view and expressing it are not welcome, unless I am the one being attacked.

  12. Bob English said at 6:57 pm on April 5th, 2012:

How, since you want to focus on what gas prices where at the end of Bush’s term (and not the pre recession/depression high of 6 months before), you should also focus on what the the GNP was at the end of Bush’s term which was an incredible -9%. That was far far worse than any imagined at the time and shows the incredible hole which the economy was sinking into.

it was a rhetorical question, (oh, aren’t we so touchy, touchy against anyone who expresses the frustration of so many, who are totally fed up with the lame excuses and finger-pointing by these libs!).. the fact is: Mr. “Hopey-Changy” has had 3 years to “fix” all the terrible, perceived sins of the last Administration we keep being beaten to death with, and has only succeeded in gripping us ever-more-tightly with gov’t. rules and mandates, not to mention more useless debt, and exponentially adding to the rolls of government-dependents, in spades, ( we believe, purposefully), and making the US closer to the 3rd world, rather than what we were and need to remain.. if that truth bothers anyone, you are among the delusional Kool-Aiders who will never place blame where it belongs: at the foot of this truly sick and criminal enterprise and poor excuse for a “leadership” team!..
