Anna Little is a candidate for U.S. Senate

Former Highlands Mayor Anna Little has filed her federal paper work registering as a candidate for United States Senate.

Friends of Anna Little was designated as principle campaign committee on the FEC Form 1 STATEMENT OF ORGANIZATION that was signed by campaign treasurer Brett Rappaport on January 31, 2012 and received by the Secretary of the Senate on February 8, 2012.

The committee has established bank accounts at Valley National Bank in Highlands, NJ and First Virginia Community Bank in Fairfax, VA.

    Out of curiosity, who is Brett Rappaport?

    I guess Jane bailed and/or is one of the folks who has beef with Anna? I’ve met a lot of good (and a few bad) folks over the years, anyone who comments here meet Brett or know if I’ve met Brett? Is Brett a local with any local connections or a DC guy, or “Friend of Homeless Larry”, etc?

    Anyway, despite some issues, I wish Anna well, I really do – it takes courage to run for an office and I’m happy to see anyone/everyone give it a whirl, I still just wish the post 2010 primary thing were different and Anna could have mended some fences, built some better relationships upon what she had and decided to take on Pallone again this year.

    Hopefully a (serious, or even a for fun) CD6 candidate emerges soon.You’d think Joe K, Joe R, Anna L or the other guy would be trying to find a slate of candidates to run with them, any idea if any of them are trying to find/recruit such candidates or it’s just not so important?

    I have to say, every day that goes by without a single person having the courage to run a serious campaign makes me more and more tempted to file a petition (again) and just be the historical/typical candidate who makes no effort and gets no votes and loses 2 to 1 but appears on the ballot and gets a photo op with someone quasi-important and gives Art some blog material…. Seeing as no one else seems to give a hoot, maybe it’s worth filing, for fun…. rumor has it Mr. Pallone has a book of dirt on me, I’m curious to learn what awful, terrible things I’ve done. 🙂
