A Message to Dan Jacobson from Tommy DeSeno:

I will say this, he gave it the old college try; something better than I can do. As well, he had the most interesting campaign ads.

That’s a big reason that one week I published all the anti-Jacobson commentary on MMM in place of my column in the triCityNews. You figured prominently in it.
Always feel free to send letters to the editor if you get our paper. You’re actually right up our alley. It’s been a pleasure sparring with you and the others who post on MMM.
I look forward to doing so in my next run. Should I do it as an Independent in the general or by crashing a Republican primary? I’m leaning toward a party crashing insurgency just to mix it up.

Yikes!!! Freespeaker and I actually agree on something. You don’t have to agree with Dan on everything to at least admire how he tried to buck the system and put himself out there in front of the voters on his own. Funny how D’s and R’s always complain about the incumbents but than always turn around and reelect 95% of them no matter how good or bad a job they are doing.
Having worked for a thrid party/independent candidate many years ago, I can tell you the big struggle is that many people don’t vote for the 3rd party/independent candidate because they don’t think that candidate can win. When a person is asked “would you vote for independent candidate x if you thought they had a chance of winning” the independent/3rd party poll numbers often shoot way up.

Could not agree more. I had to bust my ass to get 5,400 votes, and in the end it was a truly an enjoyable experience. Met so many new people and was able to get my ideas out. It is tough competing against Column A, but we cannot just sit back and watch the “same ol’ crowd” run our government without being challenged.
Why I could’t have said it better my….ahh wait a minute I did…oh never mind.
