Conforti running for Neptune Board of Education
Former congressional candidate Christine Conforti announced that she is running for a seat on the Neptune Township Board of Education during a twenty minute zoom/facebook debrief of her loss to Stephanie Schmid in the NJ-4 Democrat primary.
Conforti earned 25% of the vote in the NJ-4 Democrat primary with 14,316 votes. Schmid, who had the Party lines/endorsements in Monmouth and Ocean Counties and shared the line with Conforti in Mercer County had 67% of the vote, with 38,420. The late David Applefield earned 7.4% with 4,243 votes.
The revolutionary holistic business coach who once worked at the United Nations said she wants to install solar panels on Neptune schools, implement a curriculum that fixes systematic racism and heals students trauma, and improve the quality of food served in school cafeterias. “The food that we eat is directly connected to our brains,” Conforti said.
Conforti reiterated her offer to support Schmid with deep conversations.
During a July 5 candidates forum hosted by David Wildstein of the New Jersey Globe, Conforti offered to coach Schmid on her authenticity and integrity. Schmid, who has been caught lying about her campaign fundraising results, her career experience, and her high school internship in Congressman Chris Smith office, should take Conforti up on the offer. It won’t make a difference in this year’s election, but it might help Schmid have a happier life.
White Guilt is showing.
