    The unions won and, as usual, the rest of us lost.

    NJT already has the highest fares in the nation and the service is just terrible, and the union members are, as a rule, rude to the public.
    They got raises, retroactive pay that is a non starter in the real world and a very modest rise in insurance cost that is still far below what the private sector pays.

    After all is said and done, they will raise the fares, again, lose additional ridership and come back with another fare increase based on shrinking revenue. Just wait and see.
