They aren’t saying what the pay scale would be. Right now many schools emply security people and they get maybe $10 or so an hour. I would bet you most anything the police unions will demand at least 3-4 times that.

How is this safer? Of course the Class Three Officers would not be eligible for health benefits or pensions because they would already have both. Most NJ retired police officers already receive a $70,000+ a year pension. So now you want to take jobs away from private security officers and give the retired officers even more money. Just another reason why NJ really sucks!
