Chamber of Commerce honors Casagrande as Legislator of the year
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce honored Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande as Legislator of the year last night at its biannual legislative awards reception at the New Jersey Center of Excellence in Bridgewater.
Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande, an attorney and the assistant Republican Leader in the Assembly, is an outspoken advocate for government efficiency and for identifying waste, fraud, and abuse in government agencies. She has introduced legislation that would establish job creation among small businesses and a bill that would establish tax-free business incubators at institutions of higher education. Further, Assemblywoman Casagrande has a bill that will codify the New Jersey Business Action Center into law, guaranteeing its permanence.
Casagrande represents New Jersey’s 11th Legislative District which includes Allenhurst, Asbury Park, Colts Neck, Deal, Eatontown, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Interlaken, Loch Arbour, Long Branch, Neptune City, Neptune Township, Ocean Township, Red Bank, Shrewsbury Borough, Shrewsbury Township, Tinton Falls, and West Long Branch.
“Making New Jersey a better place to live and work is one of my priorities as a legislator,” said Casagrande, who sponsors a bill (A-3573) establishing a small business job creation account program to increase employment opportunities. “Our economy depends on thriving small businesses and successful companies. We cannot discount any industry or business that provides career opportunities. The chamber is an important part of this effort and represents the interests of all businesses to make sure government is efficient, smarter, and responsive.”
Casagrande currently serves on the Assembly Appropriations Committee, Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee and the Assembly Women and Children Committee. She has also introduced a package of bills, A-3642 and A-3643, to encourage the development of business incubators, and A-1639 which provides businesses a tax credit for child care expenses.
Have said she’s the sharpest and most “with- it” in the delegation, for years- lots of positive community and youth outreach- a very hard- working, good leader!
Sorry Congrats,
She hasn’t had an original thought in years and does not reflect what the electorate wants…except her elite Spring Lake crowd
You are as wrong as your long lost “coach’s” name that you so choose to use. Cowboys haven’t done anything in almost 30 years, so I guess you are just as stuck in the past as your name suggests.
Apparently you don’t keep up with the news or anything from the area, but just go ahead and support your Dem talking point memos you were handed out.
Asw Casagrande is part of the all women legislative team: Sen Beck, Asw Casagrande, Asw. Angelini. The 11th District is successful and forceful on legislation for all women’s issues in Monmouth County and beyond, including pushing for women’s rights, women’s salary equality, and preventing/intervening to help drug addicted women in Monmouth and Statewide. A well deserved award for a young, energetic legislator like assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande.
too bad some don’t know of the good work the lady does with kids, teaching them about government and how to be good citizens and leaders: wish more electeds would get out of their own egos and personal agendas/ power trips, and used their offices for good of others rather than for themselves! Either it’s about what you can do because you got a title, or it’s just about you and what you can get out of it- am proud of Caroline, and we really don’t need the lib “class warfare” mentality to cloud her good work!
Ahhh…the gender card
I thought she was supposed to represent all people. Men, womwn and LGBT?
I guess you must be a fan of Hillary Clinton because she says she believes the same thing.
Tell us exactly what she has done. Tell us the bills she has AUTHORED not just cosponsored someone elses work.
@Righton
LOL..I din’t know she was elected to be a civics teacher or a nanny. Or was she?
if there was more emphasis on civics in our country today, there’d be less personal negativity and more support for the few elected people who go above and beyond.
I’d just like to say, I am a wrong & I apologize. I don’t know how to use a computer to look up obvious information.
I usually don’t post, but since “Jimmy” keeps spouting at the mouth and apparently can’t use a computer, I took the 5 minutes to do it for him:

Casagrande’s record stands up against, say, Frank Pallone’s. Let’s see “Jimmy Jones” list even a handful of his accomplishments.
