   The author sounds like a typical Obama lefty who is pushing for more status quo, do nothing non-sense.

   The author wants the American public, and it’s elected leaders, to just continue to ignore real problems that plague our nation.

   The American public is tired of the status quo and demands a real change to the way our nation is being run.

   Even those of us who don’t agree with Trump’s words, messages, or ideals appreciate that he’s willing to do something other than continue to turn a blind eye.

   Consider this . . . the US Department of Homeland Security reported that Mexican police or troops have crossed over the border around 500 times since 2004 and were armed in around half of those incidents.

   In June of 2014, a Mexican law enforcement helicopter crossed into the United States and fired on two US Border Patrol agents.

   I would think that would be considered an act of war, but why does this administration ignore it and allow illegals to remain in our country in sanctuary cities . . . and why does the media turn a blind eye to this?

   The clown car of the GOP is filled with candidates who are “willing to do something” if elected. Please, if you would, elucidate one policy proposed by Trump that impresses you. Please try to make it “something” that is actually doable, you know, logistically and legally. Thank you in advance for your attention to the matter.

   Would you be so kind as to post an attribution to your “act of war” allegation. If it’s Alex Jones or one of his ilk (as I suspect) I’ll know you’re one of those “low information voters.” If it’s a legitimate claim it still doesn’t negate the FACT that Trumpsanity is an infection in the body politic of the GOP and if the Party is to survive, a surgical strike is sorely needed.

   As for you, I applaud your posting this column. I personally know local rock-ribbed Republicans who have stopped laughing and are becoming genuinely alarmed at the very idea that a Trump candidacy is considered a legitimate proposal by any but the lunatic fringe as it appears the lunatics are no longer on the fringe of the GOP but front and center. Kind of a, “Walking Dead GOP” if you will.

   It is no coincidence than an Arizona sheriff has come out on TV to say that the cartels, armed with AK-47’s, are within 30 miles of Phoenix. That means that a sizable chunk of Arizona is nothing but a no-man’s land. Not a finger, not a voice is being raised by anyone in our national leadership. What a farce!

   Kathy, do you mean legal like Obamacare? Legal as in just force an unconstitutional mandate down the throats of the people, then have the criminals you appointed to the supreme court disavow their oath to the Constitution in order to protect Obama’s criminal behavior? Or legal like Mrs. Clinton hiding her emails like her husbands criminal, needed a pardon CIA director did? Legal like Eric Holder giving Mexican drug cartels weapons used to murder Americans will taking weapons from Americans looking to defend themselves from this oppressive regime? Illegal like Obama having the IRS target Tea Party groups, pro-Israel groups and Christian groups? Illegal like lying to the American people about the events in Benghazi?

   Everything proposed by Mr. Trump is much more legal, much more feasible, and much more patriotic than what the Obama/Clinton administration has offered.

   Face it Kathy, the majority is making a very clear statement that the train wreck that is liberal policy will end and it will end now. Legal Americans are tired of seeing the fabric of our nation torn apart by liberal policy and together, Trump Republicans will Make America Great Again.

We have unfortunately become too used to having an arrogant, imperialistic president who rules by exec order, a Supreme Court that thinks it can legislate from the bench, rather than do their job by interpreting laws, not making them, and, worst of all to us Conservatives, is a Congress that refuses to stand up to the ongoing tyranny, and loss of more personal freedoms each day- either we turn this bus around soon, or there will be no USA left!!

    My statement Kathy was, “I think it would be considered as an act of war” . . . not that it ‘should’ be or that it is. Any nation that fires on US citizens on US soil is a serious threat. Just by the fact that Mexico borders us and supposedly friendly with the US does not exempt them from using aerial firepower in US airspace.

    Even the UN charter fails to address what an ‘act of war’ is and technically speaking an ‘act of war is a political term and not a military one.

    If Russia, China or Japan had done that you wouldn’t take issue with that?

    Who is looking at the facts and who is doing anything about it? If the controversy surrounding Trump brings the issues to the forefront, than all the better, rather than bash the candidates let’s talk about the issues and how to get it resolved.

    As far as Sanchez’s comment ‘despite the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court has long ruled that anyone born on U.S. soil is a citizen’, it pertained to freed slaves at the time as many could not return to their country, that was from 10th grade civics class. In the years since then how did the amendment go from that to include border illegal anchor babies?

    I may have read Alex Jones once and find your attitude a little condescending in thinking that is where I get my info, your Saul Alinsky tactics are showing.

    I see how you never even found a problem with the facts that were stated and glossed right over it, changing the subject. Obviously you know nothing about me and just make assumptions to sound important.

    I’m actually more a Noam Chomsky kinda gal but I know that “Saul Alinsky” (who I’ve never read, by the way, so actually you would be much more familiar with Alinsky tactics than I seeing as you’re alluding to him to make your point) is a shibboleth Tighty-Righties use almost every time someone disagrees with them on a point they can’t otherwise refute.

    As for my “Alex Jones” observation, you’ll note I also wrote, “or one of his ilk,” which to me means the whole News Corp umbrella. If I’m wrong and you’re not a Fox News watcher who believes God speaks through the Republican Party by way of Sean or Bill O’ and the rest of the Fox partisans, I extend my apologies now.

    BTW, you still haven’t posted an attribution (read link) for this alleged Mexican helicopter attack on US agents. Something tells me there’s a lot more to the story. I told you, I’m a Noam Chomsky kinda gal. I demand context.
