Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs Defeat Matawan Huskies For Central Jersey Group 2 Championship

The Star Ledger is reporting that the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs have defeated the defending champion Matawan Huskies for the 2010 Central Jersey Group 2 High School football championship, the first championship for the Bulldogs in the history of the Regional High School.

Matawan Mayor Paul Buccellato and his colleagues on the borough’s council will be donating $200 to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties to payoff a friendly wager with Fair Haven Mayor Mike Halfacre and the Fair Haven Council.  Halfacre told MMM that he and his colleagues will donate $200 to to the St. Mark’s Food Kitchen at Trinity Episcopal Church in Matawan, as a goodwill gesture, despite winning the wager.

Anyone wishing to make a donation of food to the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean can call 732-918-2600 or email [email protected]. Donations to St. Mark’s Food Kitchen can be arranged by calling 732-591-9210 or emailing [email protected].

I am no fan of Mike Halfacre but he deserves credit for raising money for a worthy charity.

If you were a facebook fan you would know that Mike regularly makes appeals for and raises money for the Foodbank, Wounded Warrior project, Livstrong Cancer Foindation, and the Zilinsky foundation for soldiers.

If you were a fan of this blog site, you’d know that Mike Halfacre doesn’t have a whole lot of credibilty. He began his recent and unsuccessful campaign for Congress claiming to be pro-choice. A few weeks later, and in an interview with Art Gallagher, Halfacre claimed to be pro-life. God only knows what his position on that core issue is this week. Bottom line: Mike Halfacre is not a man that I respect, the fact that calls on others to give to charity notwithstanding.

    Wow, Jim, not even close.

No, I am right on the money. Halfacre’s core values change with the wind — or, more accurately, with the latest poll numbers. Mike Halfacre is an unprincipled whore that will say whatever you think you want him to say. Do I really need to post the YouTube video of Halfacre flip-flopping on the abortion issue in order to prove my point?

Incidentally, and before he quit his losing campaign for Congress, Halfacre agressively sought the endorsement & support of the Tea Party movement. Why, pray tell, did Halfacre — after quitting, that is — endorse Diane Gooch, a liberal RINO carpetbagger, over Anna Little, the Tea Party-backed candidate? When is Mike Halfacre going to grow up and decide whether he is a liberal or a conservative?

    Hey Jim,

I would love to set your record straight. Give me a call or shoot me an email. You can reach

No thanks. In case you missed my remarks above, and given your well-documented history, I am not at all inclined to listen to any more of your bullshit. If you feel inclined to “set the record straight,” I would encourage you to do so here.

What are you afraid of? Why are you such a pussy? Why are you so eager to discuss my remarks in a forum other than where I originally made those remarks?
