DiMaso elected President of National Foundation for Women Legislators
Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso was elected President of the National Foundation for Women Legislators on Friday in Washington during the organization’s 80th annual conference.
NFWL is a non-partisan 501c3, educational foundation for elected women on the state, county, and municipal levels. Its is to provide strategic resources to elected women for leadership development, exchange of diverse legislative ideas, and effective governance through conferences, state outreach, educational materials, professional and personal relationships, and networking. They encourage the election and/or appointment of women to public office. Membership is automatically granted to the over 5000 elected women throughout the United States on the state, county and municipal levels.
DiMaso, a Republican, represents New Jersey’s 13th legislative district (northern Monmouth County) in the State Assembly. She is a former Monmouth County Freeholder and former Mayor and Township Committeewoman of Holmdel.
During her year leading the NFWL, the organization will focus on supporting women elected officials to impact policy regarding fiscal/economic growth; the eradication of human trafficking; health and wellness; education, women and families; energy and the environment; and military and veterans affairs.
I can see the Facebook post now “I’m so blessed, I’m so lucky, I’m so special, blah, blah, blah….”
Really?
You need to make comments like that?
That tells a lot about your own self esteem that you gotta get nasty over someone’s accomplishments.
Hi Serena,
It is beneath you or your people to make comments to the contrary.
Nasty? Not at all. Factual? Yes.
I am NOT Serena’s “people” nor have they invited me to make a comment about yours.
But you go ahead and assume things and make an arse out of yourself.
I’m just tired of people throwing out every little bit of hate and smarmyness they can over somebody achieving something.
I can only wonder, what high positions have you achieved? Or, is this your ego trying to make yourself look bigger. Instead, it makes you look small. VERY small.
Get over yourself.
she has been working toward, for several years..Glad it went to a Republican.. Years ago, NJ had an association for elected women officials, of both parties, at all levels…it probably lasted for some 15 years, then disbanded, as less women were getting elected and those in it stopped making time for meetings and functions.. There is now a women’s group associated with the state League.. If there is any hope for some decent dialog and bi-partisanship at all, in times like these, perhaps groups such as this could be helpful..
Ethics charges??? Playing in Nashville on the taxpayers dime when your supposed to be Trenton???
She has alot of explaining to do to get my vote again.
I just hope Serena DiMaso will remember other women and fight for their rights, and all American’s rights.

Weren’t they on hiatus for election season? I know she does work on a lot of legislation. Problem is, we are so in the minority, we’ll never get anything meaningful done!
Was the Assembly in session?
If not, nothing wrong
Even if so, one person ain’t going to change the paradigm.
Stop being jealous of others success to the point you have to become irrationally angry.
And ethics charges? Really? How desperate.
It’s the season of joy. Start being joyful instead of selfish.
what kind of leader she is. Her meddling has turned us into a dysfunctional family mess. We couldn’t wait to get rid of her but she keeps coming back
So you think it’s ok to attend a party in Nashville, Tennessee when your getting paid by the taxpayers to be in Trenton that very same day??
Your ethics are the same as DiMaso’s….non-existent!
Was the Assembly in session and if so, was there a vote?
If there was no vote scheduled, nothing would have changed. I wonder how many other absent legislators you have complained about.
Your hate is showing. Stop being an angry person.
Yes, the Assembly was in session the day she decided to party in Nashville!
A bill that was voted on was banning children from marrying older men.
Obviously Serena didn’t care. She had to party while getting paid her legilative salary.
STOP defending the ethically and morally challenged “represenative!”
Did the bill pass and if it did, would her no vote have changed the outcome?
That said, partying in Nashville might have been a stretch and who knows how long ago this was scheduled and what was going to be on the agenda.
If her vote would have meant nothing, I would give her a pass.
done a bunch over the years. If she wanted to cut loose and party a little bit in the Music City while getting paid, more power to her.
You’re right. Posing for pictures is such hard work.
Stop drinking the haterade. Live and let live.
It’s just funny that she loves the spotlight and has made a career of gossiping and trashing everyone around her.
OMG! You support elected officials that are corrupt!! Did you read the PATCH story???? She just got elected to the Assembly and she already is a no-show.
Whether or not her votes count, she has a duty and obligation to be present at the place of work we elected her to be.
She’s a Republican, it is all good.
First, she’s been in office for nearly a year, NOT just elected. Secondly, if you are that upset, put your money where your mouth is and challenge her.
Bet you won’t though.
is the big deal?
She has made a lot of enemies over the years with her behavior, that’s the big deal
backs her. Really all that matters, move on.
How much they think of her here. They couldn’t wait to get rid of her
I’m sure she is singing the blues about advancing in the world. What else ya got?
Its always about Serena advancing, never about what she does for the voters. Her wanting the spotlight is all she cares about..That’s why no one can stand her.
Ask anyone in Holmdel
she keeps getting elected and moving on to bigger and better shit. Soooo who really cares?
Still going on?
Go enjoy your families on this holiday weekend instead of hating and hating.
Start with Serena. She hates everyone
Wow, this is getting crazy. Serena, despite her best intentions has failed her constituents.
Getting paid and not showing up for work after 5 months in office—-really?? To party no less?
Inexcusable!
laugh at your small dick? I don’t get the outrage over someone like this lol.
Serena causes more in fighting among her own party than all the democrats put together. She is poison. Just ask Holmdel
Those attacking Serena would put a name to their hateful comments. After all, doesn’t someone have the right to face their accuser?
But of course, they won’t. I wonder if this is just one or two people
@ sure wish, are you kidding? Everyone knows how destructive she is. The only way she has to get ahead is to talk garbage about everyone else to make her look better.
The only people she treats okay are the ones she thinks she can use for her own gain
