Due to the long term working relationship I have enjoyed with Freeholder Director Lillian Burry, it is my pleasure to endorse and support her re-election to the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Since the inception of the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA), Freeholder Burry’s service on the Board of Directors, including her chair of the Veterans Staff Advisory Committee, has been exceptional. She is highly motivated to ensure that the damages done to Monmouth County, especially within the municipalities of Eatontown, Oceanport, and Tinton Falls since the Army Base officially closed six years ago, are repaired as quickly as possible. Further, her work with FMERA in honoring and preserving the rich history of Fort Monmouth is fully indicative of the special place in her heart she holds for veterans and their families.

During the seven years I have worked with Director Burry, I have seen first-hand her institutional knowledge, experience and service to the FMERA Board. Her leadership has been and continues to be vital to the successful re-development of the Fort for the benefit of the public and our local communities.

In summary, I am a strong supporter of Freeholder Burry’s re-election. In my opinion, her service as county freeholder and to the FM ERA Board of Directors has been exemplary. It is my pleasure to endorse her.
