much of a boat person, isn’t having 10 people on a 22 foot boat a bit much??

In the Patch the boat is listed at 19 feet, the model number 200 indicates 20 feet. In reality, it is most likely a 19 footer, the Coast Guard allows for the swim platform in the rear to be counted into the vessels overall length. But, in the bigger scheme of things, yes this vessel was overloaded. 6 – 7 passengers is the limit (again, that can fluctuate because the manufacturer also posts a maximum weight for the passengers as well as a head count).. I feel badly for the owner in the loss of the vessel, but also feel that they dodged a big bullet with that many people on board, injuries could have been much more serious.

Nobody ever said you had to pass an IQ Test to have a kid or buy a boat!
