RIP Rick Rosenberg
Rick Rosenberg, Jr, 32, was found deceased in his Lakehurst home this morning, according to an Ocean County law enforcement source.
Rosenberg was a well respected Republican political operative who started working on campaigns while a college student at Rutgers in 2004. Most recently he re-joined the Chris Russell Consulting firm after managing the GOP gubernatorial primary campaign of Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.
According to the source who asked not to be named, the Lakehurst Police responded to a call from Rosenberg’s home at 9:30 this morning. Rosenberg’s body was found unresponsive in his bath room. Our source read from a report that indicated there was no drug paraphernalia present and that the victim had no known history of drug abuse. The source said there was no indication of trauma and that the Ocean County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
“I am shocked and saddened by the passing of Rick Rosenberg,” Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno said. “He was an amazing man who touched the lives of so many in this state with his talent, passion and dedication to growing the Republican Party. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time.”
“Rick was a good guy,” said Monmouth County GOP Chairman Shaun Golden. “He was a smart and tough competitor who conducted himself with passion and professionalism. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and many many friends. He will be greatly missed.”
