Patricia is charged with one count each of second degree Conspiracy to Commit Official Misconduct and Insurance Fraud.

Alix is free on $150,000 bail which was posted after his arrest last June.  Patricia was freed on her own recognizance and order to surrender her passport.

If convicted of Official Misconduct, Alix faces a mandatory sentence of five years in a New Jersey state prison without parole and a maximum sentence of 10 years imprisonment, with a statutorily mandated five-year period of parole ineligibility.  He would also be under parole supervision for three years following his release from state prison.

If convicted of any of the second degree offenses, the siblings each face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison on each count.  If convicted of the third degree offenses, each would face a sentence of three to five years in prison.

of why the beleaguered NJ taxpayers are disgusted and broke.. many munis are over- funded by the rest of the state, with very little oversight.. unless and until more are forced to do a better job, and, in some cases, consolidate, many of these local government “fiefdoms” will continue to bilk and scam the system- costing more and more, and raising taxes, as usual, to cover it all..

Or, if like any other civilized, western democracy we could provide nationalized health care so a caring brother wouldn’t have to risk everything to see that his sister is properly protected. It’s a travesty that all the good this man has likely done in his life, all that he has EARNED is now in jeopardy because big pharma is more important than the little people who are under their whip hand and continue to literally hold our lives in their hands.

Herein lies a major philosophical problem of today: people routinely break policies or laws set forth for a reason, ( in this case, a law enforcement person, on public payroll,) then some lib comes along, making excuses for the actions or behaviors, and offering yet another taxpayer- funded solution, with no basis in fact or reason! If your much- heralded Obamacare solution,( which, she should have applied for on her own, and,by all accounts, is already a more expensive and fraud- ridden disaster,) isn’t enough for you, then, why not go ahead and write your own personal check, ( nothing stops one from voluntarily contributing more!) to cover even more people- most of us are more than disgusted and tapped-out!!
