State Police: Marlboro report was a “good call”

State Police logoThe New Jersey State Police posted the following statement on their facebook page regarding the incident that occurred on a commuter bus on Route 9 in Marlboro this morning:

Was this a good or bad call?

There was a report of a suspicious item reported on a New Jersey Transit bus around 8:30 this morning in Marlboro. People reported their suspicions with the following results:
– the bus was evacuated
– a person was questioned
– Rt. 9 was closed in both directions at a busy time of day
– Marlboro Police responded along with NJSP specialists
– THE ITEM AND PERSON WAS FOUND TO POSE NO THREAT
– everyone was delayed

So, was it a good or a bad call?
Without a doubt, this was a good call. News agencies reported that a neighbor of Farook failed to report suspicious activity she noticed before that tragic attack in San Bernadino.
THE CALL FROM THIS BUS IS THE WAY IT’S SUPPOSED TO WORK.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!
…and let the law enforcement professionals determine if the person or the item poses a real threat.
