Art, I hope and pray more people would become more prepared for these type of natural disasters by understanding the old Boy Scout Motto of “Be Prepared”.

I would encourage local residents of the Bayshore to check out their local Office of Emergency Management in their hometowns and volunteer to help others.

Learn how to protect yourself and your families and when prepared you can then assist others who will need help.

If in a flood zone, please, be prepared to evacuate to a safer area when told to so so by authorities. Know where to go, and what to bring with you. Have you made plans for your children? Your pet(s)?

All Lives Matter – protect yourself and your family by learning what to do, how to do it and when to leave (or shelter in place).
