Hanlon Sworn In As Acting Monmouth County Clerk
Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French started her last day in office by holding the bible as her successor, Christine Giordano Hanlon, was sworn-in this morning by Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley.
Hanlon is Governor Chris Christie’s nominee to replace French who announced her retirement effective today in early January. Hanlon will serve as Acting Clerk until she is confirmed by the NJ State Senate, or until she is elected to her own 5 year term. She is the Republican nominee for the position in this November’s election.
French, the former mayor of Wall Township, has served as Clerk since 1997. She was elected Clerk four times.
Hanlon, of Ocean Township, is formerly an attorney at Archer & Greiner’s Middletown, NJ office. She served as Deputy Borough Attorney in Tinton Falls, Prosecutor in Atlantic Highlands and as a Commissioner of the Monmouth County Board of Elections. A member of Christie’s transition team in 2009, Hanlon is also Vice Chair of the Monmouth County Republican Organization.
The county clerk oversees property records, archives, elections and passports. At the pleasure of the Monmouth County Assignment Judge, the Monmouth County Clerk also presides over the swearing in of Grand Jurors.

The real Judas was John Bennett who left the party nearly bankrupt, and the real current day Judas are those people that can’t get over that Bennett lost by a decent margin.
So, to the few freaking malcontents out there who still can’t get over last year, either get in line or get out of the way of progress.
Maybe you should be ashamed of not accepting what is and move on. You are acting like a spoilt child.
