TRENTON — President Obama is scheduled to visit New Jersey Monday with an appearance at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to thank military service members and Department of Defense civilians for their service, the White House confirmed today. The base in amalgam of the United States Air Force’s McGuire Air Force Base, the United States Army’s Fort Dix…

What a great job he has done. Will his pal Christie be there?
the one- man wrecking crew ascends upon us- likely to see a new thing to demolish.. Experience over 6 years now, has indicated that where he shows up, more chaos and destruction follows. If Big Chris thinks this guy will help him/us, he’s more naive and delusional than previously thought. One must ask: how much more must we all endure, and will it ever improve??
I think its a good thing the President is visiting the base to see firsthand what is mission is and then with that firsthand info be able to decide if the DOD’s recommendations are based on fact or not.
It’s to bad that the previous President did not have that kind of first hand knowledge and information regarding Fort Monmouth….if he had, he might have realized that the Army/DOD was feeding everyone including the BRAC Commission false inaccurate information to perhaps achieve a desired outcome.
Good one. I’m still ROFLMFAO
Obama doesn’t give one turd about the military or our country’s security. If he did, he would be attending a lot more of the intel briefings

Bob, you gotta get yourself a new pair of glasses so that you can see more clearly.
@@HaHaHa…I see just fine. I see NJ getting screwed with one major base (Fort Monmouth) closed under the former President who probably knew nothing about its mission and I see another base (McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst) which at the very least the current POTUS will be very well aware of its mission and will have met some of its personnel and local officials in the community.
I will take the 2nd choice.
Do you think Obama really cares about the military? There in lies the problem with your analysis.
Hopefully facts (which he usually ignores) will win out. Not Obama’s caring about the military. All he wants to do is downsize it to lower America in the eyes of the world, and then shift the money to pay for things America doesn’t want.
Defense budget cuts under sequestration were something both parties agreed to. I’d suggest that the real disagreement is more geared to how the Pentagon is spending its money. Whether you like Senator McCain or not he will likely head the Armed Services Committee and has some ideas quite different from Pentagon brass.
Does it look like Obama even cares about the military?

And McLame is the last person I want hanging around Congress.
