Losers: The Battle for Monmouth

This morning we gave you the winners from the Battle for Monmouth.   Without further adieu, the losers:

Vin SmugVin Gopal. Underneath that boyish smile and pleasant demeanor is a nasty, dirty, ruthless political operative.  The Monmouth Democratic Chairman showed his true colors in 2013 with his defamatory allegations against Sean DiSomma in the Red Bank Council race. Give him several hundred thousand dollars, which the NJ Democrats did this year, and he tries to destroy the good names of distinguished public servants simply because they hold offices he wants. Monmouth Republicans, particularly some in the legislative delegation, who are friendly with Gopal should reconsider their judgement about him.  It no longer can be said that Vin is a wolf in sheeps clothing.  He’s a wolf.

The NJ Democratic State Committee, Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin, Senator Cory Booker, Assemblyman Joe Cryan, various labor unions and anyone else who gave Gopal money.  They got nothing for it.

The Asbury Park Press. Neptune Nudniks is no longer an appropriate moniker for them.  They are not stupid or incompetent as “nudnik” implies.  They are dishonest and lazy. Their coverage of the Monmouth County Freeholders race was spoon fed or edited by Gopal and his candidates Larry Luttrell and Giuseppe “Joe” Grillo.  Gopal, Luttrell and Grillo used APP to counter MMM’s coverage of the race, which we find hilarious and complimentary.  It didn’t work because APP no longer has influence in Monmouth County.

Their election night coverage was a disaster.  While APP was reporting on software problems at the Monmouth County Clerk’s Office, MMM was reporting election results.

The Monmouth County Clerk’s Office.  The Monmouth County Election Results website is the New Jersey equivalent of HeathCare.gov.

IMG_5919 (1024x681)Freeholder John Curley . Curley told the East Jersey Tea Party last February that he would not would not support Gary Rich and Lillian Burry’s reelection. He kept his promise and went further by working against them.  Luttrell and Grillo exploited his differences with Burry and Rich.  Curley granted his implicit support to the Democrats by failing to distance himself from them, even when he was asked to do so.

To have a policy disagreement with Curley is to risk being personally attacked by him.  His public treatment of Burry is ungentlemanly. His personal attacks from the Freeholder dais on constituents and employees who disagree with him is unprofessional and immature. His gossip and trash talk undermines himself and his colleagues.  He is too often a problem when he should be a partner.

John is a great watchdog.  He is a passionate speaker who can tap into an audience’s frustration with government and inspire action like few others can. However, his paranoia about Party bosses being out to get him, whether it is shtick or real, could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Grillo Luttrell 102114 (640x396)Joe Grillo and Lawrence Luttrell. Luttrell the litigious lunger lost his race for freeholder in 2013, lost his law suit over the Andrew Lucas deal, lost his license to practice law for failure to comply with administrative requirements and lost his race for freeholder in 2014.  He will also lose his law suit against the Monmouth GOP.

Grillo owes me a Delicious Orchards pound cake.  He and Luttrell owe me money for copyright infringement.

I’ve known John Curley for years, and he knew if the democrats won two seats or even one seat that he would be a target in 2015. I personally, asked him who I should support and he demanded Burry & Rich. This whole article is laughable. If John supported the democrats, they would have won.

Ok Jamie, let’s say you are right. Then John has to step up and show he is a team player. He can stick to his beliefs, but do it in a way that doesn’t throw those who don’t see it his way under the bus. From what I can see, it’s he who has to make amends for meeting with that little weasel Gopal. It’s he who has to prove he is worthy of the support of his fellow freeholders and the residents of Monmouth County. John – it’s up to you.

John doesn’t have to show you anything. He has proved to be a friend of the taxpayer–something current Board members have not consistently showed me.

John shows up at charity events, events whereby constituents call him and he attends on their behalf. John is the full-time part-time Freeholder. He spends nearly 8 hours a day–each day–at the Hall of Records where his office is located.

John doesn’t have to show you crap! or prove to you or anyone else “party loyalty.”

If Golden or Demaso–the two engineers and conspirators against Bennett–try any moves–there will be a nasty civil war within the ranks.

Most Republicans are unworthy of John Curley to much class and doe’s a lot of good.

What are you smoking? 8 hours a day? If he spends 5 a day that’s a lot. All he does is make noise. He gets nothing done. He looked like a lost child election night. In disbelief that Burry and Rich won. Just look at the video Art referenced to. All be cares about is himself. Shows up to things he’s not invited to. Goes everywhere because he knows that he does shit for the county and all he does is cause problems and puts the county in a position to get sued. Over and over again. Everything that came out of the Dems mouth this election has come out of Curley’s mouth at one of the Freeholder meetings. Don’t believe me, listen to them yourself. He hasn’t proven anything except proving he’s an ass. This man is dangerous. Why do you think the dems won’t take him back. Gopal is using this moron to try and build a party platform and like anyone who strokes johnnys ego, he’ll be your best friend. But don’t go to a fundraiser of his or disagree with him, you are on his black list. This man needs to be stopped. And the only way to do that is at the polls becaus the party leadership doesn’t have the guts to do so.

It is so sad and reckless that not even a week after a good win, that infighting begins again.

Can’t people just take a break from all of the negativity? You don’t see Democrat infighting like this. Despite all of their flaws, they stick together when it comes to winning elections.

If there is a fight to be had, and I am not saying we need to go there; let’s at least enjoy the upcoming holidays.
