I understand that this property is owned, not by Holmdel, but first by the Garden State Parkway Authority and since its merger, is now owned by the NJ Turnpike Authority, an independent State Authority.

How can a township tell an independent State Authority (only applies to the PNC Arts Center) what to do with their property? Did they even ask the NJ Turnpike Authority about this?

And if this is Turnpike Authority property, why isn’t the State Police involved? What is the authority of the Holmdel Police on State property?
