ASBURY PARK MAN CHARGED WITH AUGUST MURDER

Bryan Burford, 21, of Asbury Park was arrested today and charged with the August 16 murder of Tyrell Howard, 20, also of Asbury Park, according to a statement from Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramicconi.

Burford was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.  He is being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Judge Joseph Oxley set Burford’s bail at $1 million with 10% cash option.

Burford was convicted of Aggravated Assault in April of 2011.  He was released from the Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional Facility on May 23 of this year, according to the NJ Department of Corrections.

    But don’t you see? It’s not poor little byron’s fault, it’s the fact that we only spend $29,000 per pupil in Asbury Park, and he only was given one Obamaphone, and food stamps won’t cover beer and cigs, and employers demand rudimentary skills, and on and on. You see, the deck is stacked against him. If only government were bigger, this wouldn’t happen – right Democrats?

    but, wait, in 2011, he was 19?.. Why a “youth” facility? Is not 18 when we are legally adults? We live and die, literally, more and more, with the results of lib voters, giving us lib legislators, lib laws, lib judges, (most of them in NJ, not our Oxley!), lib sentencing, and way too many perks and “second chances!”
