Christie: SCOTUS confirmed what we knew all along–ObamaCare is a tax

Governor Chris Christie issued the following statement about the Supreme Court’s decision on ObamaCare:

“I’ve been clear from the very beginning that I do not believe a one-size-fits-all health care program works for the entire country and that each governor should have the ability to make decisions about what works best for their state. Today’s Supreme Court decision is disappointing and I still believe this is the wrong approach for the people of New Jersey who should be able to make their own judgments about health care. Most importantly, the Supreme Court is confirming what we knew all along about this law – it is a tax on middle class Americans.”

Gov…What about the “tax” that people pay in the form of higher medical charges and higher insurance rates to make up the cost of people who do not have health care insurance and need treatment??? Many of those people can afford health care insurance and intentionally chose not to purchase it.

Take a listen to what Romeny was saying in 2006 about the “personal reponsibility principle” and how that was essential to lower the cost of health care.

He actually made a lot of sense back than which is why I said I like the pre flip-flop version of Romey a lot more than the current version.

    Amen Biden 16bfd

Fox and CNN (you know CNN, that liberal media giant) were in such a rush to fulfill their own wishes they actually reported the individual mandate was struck down. Looks like Art was in a rush too, did you mean to spell Christie that way?

I guess you didn’t mean to Art since you just corrected it 🙂

The more government gets inviolved in health care the worse it becomes and the more expensive it becomes.

Here is a solution to your problem Bob. If you can afford it and you don’t buy it and you get sick. No free treatment. You rolled the dice and you lost.

  6. Bob English said at 8:47 pm on June 28th, 2012:

MLaffey: We both know the “let em die” solution offered by the audience in one of the GOP presidential debates will never happen.

  7. MLaffey said at 9:42 pm on June 28th, 2012:

Bob, I will tell you what I do know.

I know every time the government does something for me it costs me either money or freedom.

I know that the reason healthcare is so expensive is because the government has its fingers in it.

I know that government can not control costs without rationing health care so either we are going to get less or universal health care will bankrupt this country.

Finally I know that everything the Federal government gets involved in becomes FUBAR.
