Looks like NJ Republican voters foolishly picked the anointed candidate, who is pretty much identical on all the issues to Menendez. They didn’t learn their lesson from 2006 & 2008, where similar milquetoast liberal candidates lost by huge margins to the incumbent Senators. Kyrillos’ opposition to the Second Amendment, along with his dedicated support to the extremely liberal former one-term Governor of Taxachusetts, Mitt Romney, will definitely hurt him big time with conservative and libertarian voters. I fully expect Menendez to cruise to victory in November, and sometimes I wonder if the NJ GOP actually wants it that way. If they were serious about unseating him, they would have picked a candidate with some accomplishments to their credit, and someone who doesn’t have to cower from his primary opponents by refusing to debate them because everyone would see just how weak of a candidate he really is.
