Clifton will endorse Hanlon for Monmouth County GOP Chair

Assemblyman Rob Clifton will join Senators Joe Kyrillos and Jennifer Beck, and his Assembly colleagues Mary Pat Angelini, Amy Handlin, and Dave Rible in endorsing GOP State Committeewoman Christine Hanlon as the next Monmouth County GOP Chair.

A formal announcement is expected later today or tomorrow.

Clifton’s endorsement will give Hanlon the formal support of 6 of the 9 member of the Monmouth County Legislative Delegation.  Assembly members Sean Kean, Declan O’Scanlon and Caroline Casagrande have yet to express a preference for either Hanlon or her opponent, former Senate President John Bennett.

    .. that sound you hear is crickets chirping.. another one with a title but no vote in the game.. and, btw, out of the eight county electeds, for all the posturing going on, only 3 of them have a vote, and hear 2 of those are voting for John..so, ho hummmm…

    15-20%, or so..bad time of the year for it, people have too many spring-things going on..Kim was fine, but am sure at re-election time next year Gov. Chubs will take time out from his busy schedule and call-in’s on 101.5, etc, and come see the county that got him there..so, we can hopefully go back to an August event that people really want to go to..

    the way the over-generalizing goes on: there was a working committee, which got the sponsorships and made the calls.. there also were two Gala chairs, she and George Newberry, and the two MCRC Finance chairs are BOTH the st. comm. people, that’d be she and John Bennett!! so, credit where else it is due, is in order, for Pete’s sake!!
