SINGER BILL TO REINSTATE DEATH PENALTY WOULD APPLY TO CHILD KILLERS
Father Who Drowned 2Year Old Should Face the Ultimate Punishment
Senator Robert Singer issued the following statement regarding the tragic murder of 2 year old Tierra Morgan-Glover. The Senator has introduced legislation that would reinstate the death penalty in New Jersey for those who murder a child, kill a police officer in the line of duty or commit a terrorist attack that results in fatalities.
“I do not support the death penalty out of a need for revenge or due to malice in my heart. Neither do the many individuals I have met who have suffered from heinous crimes,” Singer stated. “I support the death penalty because sometimes it is the only way to achieve justice for the victims and families affected by horrible crimes.”
Singer noted that his legislation would apply to the man who drowned his 2 year old daughter, still strapped in her weighted down car seat, while conscious and alert.
“I am well aware that the death penalty will not bring back a murdered child, slain police officer or a victim of terrorism,” Singer continued. “For certain crimes, however, life in prison is just not punishment enough.”
I say Amen. Let’s get it done.
There is indeed pure evil in the world and though there is sweet justice in letting someone suffer in jail for 40 years or more; there are those people like this animal just don’t deserve to live and I don’t want to pay for them to breath another day.
Unfortunately, if this ever gets done the execution will be painless. That sucks.
NOW, back to my regularly scheduled afternoon nap. 🙂
No doubt that some murders (kids, cops etc) are so terrible that the death penalty is called for. My main issue with it is the times when an innocent person has been or could be executed. There have been numerous people who were on death row in recent years freed after dna proved they were not guilty. God only knows how many innocent people were executed before there was dna testing and how many innocent people might be on death row right now where there is no dna evidence that would prove their innocence.
I know some cases seem airtight but others are not. There was a guy in Texas executed a while back for the arson murders of his familly. The problem is that the leading arson expert in the entire country said it was not arson.
I have always been an advocate for the death penalty. You should lose your right to live if you kill someone else. And yes, its that simple. And now we have to keep this monster alive. Why?
Freespeaker1776, Bob English, and Rich Ambrosia all in AGREEMENT on something? That happens once a millennium… this must make sense!
BTW, I agree wholeheartedly… FRY HIM!
At the risk of ruining our new found love feast (lol) I noted that while I feel people who commit these types of crimes deserve the death penalty, I have a huge concern for someone being executed for a crime they did not commit.
Who’s “Rich”?
Apparently only 1% of us! Sorry RICK.
And I agree with Bob on this regarding only “open and shut” cases of horrific magnitude… such as attaching a tire iron to your two year old’s car seat to assure her drowning or killing a police officer in a shootout followed by a live capture.
