Christie Will Endorse Romney This Afternoon

Multiple media sources are reporting that Governor Chris Christie will endorse Mitt Romney for President during a press conference in New Hampshire at 3PM this afternoon.

Romney’s website is already hailing the endorsement.

Locally, news of Christie’s endorsement has had a negative reaction from Bayshore Tea Party Group founder Barbara Gonzalez who sent an “urgent” email to the group’s members and other Tea Party group leaders asking that they “take a leap of faith” and endorse Herman Cain for President.

“THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE ANTICIPATED WHEN HERMAN CAIN STARTED TO RISE IN THE POLLS”, wrote Gonzalez,

First, Christie was dragged out to run for President, and when that didn’t work, he is off to endorse Romney.

Are we really going to sit here and let them do this? Do you see what is happening here?

I know some of you don’t agree with me, but I am not going to sit back and let them dictate to me who is going to be the next President.”

Healthcare for Americans is much more attractive when called Romneycare vs. Obamacare, and is championed by a white face. Go get em “big boy”.

with another same- old, same- old pattern, from the antiquated and out of touch, mainstream of the GOP.. if they think that’s a winner next year, Mitt unfortunately joins the ranks of the McCain and Dole disasters.. how predictable, yet continually frustrating..I say, time out, you, Rove, and other know-it-alls,let the GOP primary voters decide, “party people” most of us actually want to be rid of that destructive individual now saying he will, by EDICT, “go around” the Congress and pass the next son-of-stimulus fruitless waste, disguised as a “jobs-bill”- how dare he, and how dare the congress stand back and allow it!..another joke, but a very sick joke, on the millions of unemployed and soon-to-be homeless, foreclosed- on Americans..get on the “Cain-Train”, need someone fresh, new and different,or we’re doomed!

A good Governor, but this puts to rest all pretense of him being a Conservative.

Not happy with the gov right now at all!
Mitt Romney is a flip flopping indecisive mer shiny suit that leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth of being fake! If he is the Republican nominee however I will hold my nose and help him defeat Barack Obama!

    Charles M,

That’s the same feeling I had in 2008 when I walked into the voting booth.

I sure do wish you hadn’t posted about the Herman Cain part. For the record, the Bayshore Tea Party will not at this time be endorsing any candidate for President.

  8. Barbara said at 10:43 pm on October 11th, 2011:

Politicalpony, to clarify…nothing in a BTPG email is private. I have nothing to hide and have no issue with Art posting it. Secondly, the BTPG is in the process of voting on whether or not we will endorse Herman Cain. When you say “at this time” you are correct, however, if the vote was ended right now, it would be a yes vote. In other words, it is closer to BTPG endorsing Cain, than not. Other tea party groups are also voting at this time. It may make no difference at all, but I for one, will not sit back and let anyone dictate my most precious right. This is extremely disappointing. Extremely.

  9. Politicalpony said at 11:06 pm on October 11th, 2011:

Excuse me? Don’t you think there should be a consensus as to whether or not a vote of this nature should be taken or not among the members? I am completely unaware of such action and as a Founding Member of this group I find that your actions in this matter are out of line.

  10. Politicalpony said at 11:28 pm on October 11th, 2011:

And so now Barbara Gonzalez has become the commander in chief over all that is said and done for the Bayshore Tea Party? Deletes FB posts that she doesn’t like? Manipulates members into votes and voting in the direction she declares appropriate? Conservative New Jersey perhaps was correct about the leadership of this group. Maybe Others that were called trouble makers because they wanted elections held for positions within the group were correct in their thinking. They could see it coming. Perhaps this is why one of the founding and very instrumental members of the group left. Perhaps this is why I receive many complaints about this group by other members who eventually give up the fight and leave this group to attend meetings with others. Has this group really become so self centered that they have lost the correct direction in which to take in order to achieve the goals of conservative Americans? Have they become nothing more but just another branch of a main stream political party? It would appear so. Well welcome to Obama World.

  11. Barbara said at 11:47 pm on October 11th, 2011:

    Phil,
you just proved why you were asked to leave the group. I rest my case.

  12. Politicalpony said at 12:37 am on October 12th, 2011:

And I have some bad news for you. I won’t be leaving anything.

  13. TR said at 8:14 am on October 12th, 2011:

This (the above back and forth) ladies and gentleman is exhibit A of why the Tea Party will not be a permenant part of the political landscape.

If we are lucky they will last until the next presidential election is over.

    Very disappointing

  14. The Overseer said at 11:25 am on October 12th, 2011:

The Bayshore Tea Party needs to get their act together and fast!

It might be time for Barbara to step down!

  15. Freespeaker1976 said at 4:52 pm on October 12th, 2011:

    TR,

Actually, the Bayshore Tea Party Group is pretty much already history, fractured and ineffective now a days.

That’s sad because there was so much potential to help various towns take back their governments in between the 2010 Congressional & next year’s all important 2012 Election.

You can’t just go into hibernation because a Federal Election cycle is not on the burner.

TRUE grass roots work starts right in the towns and cities, electing the right candidates to move up the ladder. Local grass roots work ensures that volunteers stay active and involved.

  17. The Overseer said at 10:47 pm on October 12th, 2011:

Over the past several months Barbara’s inability to lead coupled with her in the fighting with members has led the Bayshore tea party astray.

  18. The Overseer said at 10:49 pm on October 12th, 2011:

Barbara should resign and allow someone else to take the reins of the Bayshore tea party!

Bob Gordon would be so much better!

  19. Freespeaker1976 said at 2:10 pm on October 13th, 2011:

    Oh Helene,

    You doth protest too much.

I am VERY aware, and network with many in the know.

  20. Roland Hosey said at 3:12 pm on October 13th, 2011:

The Bayshore Tea Party has become irrelevant ever since Barbara defended the use of racial stereotypes and advocated the violent beating of anyone who dared to disagree with her. Since the Bayshore Tea Party is so closely identified with Barbara, they will never have a relevant part to play in New Jersey politics going forward.

  21. Helene said at 7:53 pm on October 13th, 2011:

You poor unfortunate cowards. You hide behind false identities while criticizing others.

  22. Roland Hosey said at 7:26 pm on October 14th, 2011:

You poor unfortunate racists. You hide behind racial stereotypes and advocate violence. You are unable to engage in discussion and exhibit abhorrent behavior. Your 15 minutes in the spotlight are gone.

  23. Former Tea said at 9:32 pm on October 15th, 2011:

The Bayshore Tea Party is a fraud. The owner, yes I said owner, Barbara is a neo conservative. When the tea Party endorses the Federal Reserve candidate, you know they have their heads firmly planted up their @$$

Mitt Romney, the multi-millionaire, in his own caring words: “I’d like to see Roe v. Wade overturned and allow the states to put in place prolife legislation.”. This is not the man i invision saving our country from the fiscal and social issues that we face. Romneys views are at times without vision and i would hate to imagine my america shaped in his view of the world.
