Carl Lewis Can’t Run

He can’t sing either

U.S. District Court Judge Noel Hillman upheld Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno’s decision to keep former Olympic champion Carl Lewis off the general election ballot in NJ’s 8th legislative district. Lewis is the Democratic nominee for State Senate.

Guadagno, in her capacity as Secretary of State, ruled that he does not meet New Jersey’s residency requirement to run for the legislature.

we had a correct ruling.. it’s very simple: whether you’re Jesus Christ, Carl Lewis, or Joe Schmoe, either you meet the residency requirements and follow the law, or you don’t.. am so sick of the “different strokes for different folks” mentality, that’s due to our continuous American romance with “celebrity”, these days!..live there long enough, then run next time if you want, period!.. (guess at this point, only a Rahmbo Emanuel in Chicagoland, can get away with that one!)
